Make a Pillowcase – Make a Difference!

Join the DuPage County Fair Association in the One Million Pillowcase Challenge sponsored by American Patchwork & Quilting.  Sew a pillowcase for a child with cancer or a life changing illness.  All pillowcases will be donated through ConKerr Cancer www.ConKerrCancer.org to Central DuPage Hospital. Help us bring a smile to the face of boys and girls ages 2 through 17, and make their hospital stay as pleasant as possible.  ConKerr Cancer – A Case for Smiles is blessed with a simple, clear mission to make life brighter for children with life changing illnesses and injuries.  Pick a cheery, colorful and fun, cotton fabric (no flannel please) and make a pillowcase.  Click here for directions on how to make a pillowcase.  Simply put your pillowcase in a ziplock bag and bring it to the ticket window at the DuPage County Fair on either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, July 21, 22, or 23.  In return, you will receive one free admission with a paid adult admission (one per family).  All pillowcases will be displayed in the HomeEc building during the fair.  Making a pillowcase is easy, rewarding, and it can have a positive impact on a child in need.
